The lawn bowling green is open from Easter to late September

Do I have to be a member to play lawn bowls?

No. We are a public facility, and anyone can book and play.

How can I book a game on the bowling green?

You can book lawn bowls online, via this website, or on the day at our Hyde Park venue. Payment must be made at the time of booking.

Do you provide the bowls and jack?

Yes. All equipment is included so you can enjoy your game.

What is the footwear and clothing requirement for bowls?

Flat shoes or bare feet are fine. Comfortable sporting attire is all you need to wear - there's no need to wear 'whites'

What happens if the Met Office issues an Extreme Weather Alert?

If the warning is for 'extreme' weather such as heavy snow, strong winds or abnormally high temperatures - at our senior management's sole discretion - we may decide to cancel your booking or choose to remain open to the public. We will try to inform you in good time before your booking starts.

Our popular and stunning six-rink lawn bowling green is open to the public during the warmer Summer months for one-off bookings and special events.

The green is currently closed and is set to reopen in April 2025.

Bowling is a game that can be played by everyone

Why not play a game of bowls with the whole family? Whatever their age, kids and adults will love the challenge of getting near to the jack and scoring points!

Invite a group of your friends to Park Sports Hyde Park and enjoy a friendly game in an informal and sociable setting.

Prices shown when booking online are for two people.

Up to six people can play on one rink. Additional persons are payable upon arrival.

How to Find Us

You can find us in the South West corner of Hyde Park, where the park meets Exhibition Road, and south of The Serpentine.

If arriving by bicycle, at the front of the Café, you will be able to use our bicycle parking rack to lock your bike up safely. You will need to bring your own padlock.
