York Bridge Closure

Dear Customer,

The Royal Parks have informed us that York Bridge (The Regent's Park) will be fully closed to pedestrians and vehicular traffic from Autumn 2024 to Summer 2025.

Park Sports The Regent's Park will remain open as usual during this time. The planned date for commencement of work is week beginning Monday 25th November 2024.

Closing the road is essential to ensure the site is safe from unauthorised access and allow the completion of the works while minimising the risk to park users. Pedestrian diversions will be available through the Marylebone Green to allow movement from the Inner to the Outer Circler after dark. The path will be lit for pedestrian safety.

The map below shows the planned closed road (in red), and the pedestrian diversions (in green).

York Bridge is a beautiful Grade II listed arch road bridge which crosses over The Regent's Park boating lake. Built circa 1820, it is now in urgent need of conservation work to preserve it for future generations to enjoy.

We hope this information helps you to plan your visits to us effectively and we look forward to seeing you on court with us soon.

Kind Regards,
Park Sports Management Team.
